With love and solidarity,
The March for Our Lives
The horrifying shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida has galvanized our country's teenagers to stand up to the NRA, and Zioness will support this movement.
As the March's Mission Statement reads: “We cannot allow one more child to be shot at school. We cannot allow one more teacher to make a choice to jump in front of a firing assault rifle to save the lives of students. We cannot allow one more family to wait for a call or text that never comes. Our schools are unsafe. Our children and teachers are dying. We must make it our top priority to save these lives.”
We ask that you join us as we march in support of common sense gun control that will make us more safe. Please contact us if you would like to lead a Zioness group at a March for Our Lives gathering in or near your city on Saturday, March 24.
New Zioness Image
In honor of Purim, we are proud to release a new Zioness image inspired by an extraordinary women who embodies the spirit of Queen Esther in our time: Chloe Valdary.
Chloe is a passionate and progressive Zionist, and an outspoken champion of social, racial, economic and gender justice. We are thrilled to have Chloe sit on the Zioness board of directors.
Advancing Women in Politics (DC Event)
In 2018, women hold only 19.8% of the 535 seats in Congress and only 28% of the 120 seats in the Israeli Knesset. Why are women still underrepresented?
Join us at the JCRC of Greater Washington 2018 Scholars-in-Residence round table to learn how we can work to advance the role of women in politics.
We are proud to sponsor this event with Adas Israel Congregation, Running Start, The Israel Forever Foundation, Jewish Women International, National Council for Jewish Women, Temple Sinai Washington, DC, Tikun Olam Women's Foundation,The New Israel Fund, AJC Washington DC, and The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington.
